Tap Add Timeline Marker and the color grid goes live: click a color and a marker of that color drops right at your playhead on the active timeline. Review, click, keep flying.
Pull from the active timeline, just your In/Out range, any other timeline in the project, every clip in the current bin, or the clips you've selected in the Media Pool.

Set each select's duration (1–60s), centered on the marker or starting from it — or flip on Use Whole Clip to pull the entire clip. Duration markers keep their own drawn range.
New clips can inherit their marker's name and color — on the new timeline only. Your master clips are never modified.
Send selects to a new timeline or append them to the end of your active one. One-step Undo reverses the last build or the markers you just placed.
Cached timeline reads and chunked batch appends, with a live progress bar and a window that never freezes. Presets save your setups, and the window pins on top of Resolve.
Installing on Windows? Marker Select is signed and notarized on macOS. On Windows it isn't registered with Microsoft yet, so the first time you open the installer, SmartScreen may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Click More info, then Run anyway to continue — it's safe to install.

Why is the free version free? The free version of DaVinci Resolve can't run workflow integrations natively, so Marker Select Free relies on Resolve's older scripting structure and needs Python 3 installed. If Python isn't already on your computer, download it free from the official Python site. Marker Select Studio runs as a native workflow integration in DaVinci Resolve Studio — no Python required.
